Homemade BBQ sauce - honey, whisky & blueberry

For a spicy fruity touch!


  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) blueberry syrup
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) whisky
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoon (30 ml) blueberry honey
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) white wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) chili pepper powder (optional)


  1. In a saucepan, bring all ingredients to a boil while stirring with a whisk
  2. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Simmer 10 minutes, stirring a few times during cooking.
  4. Serve with your favorite grills


  • The sauce can be stored for up to 10 days in the refrigerator
  • Add more chili pepper powder for a spicier sauce.
  • Delicious with ribs, burgers, pork or roasted chicken.

    Votre recette de sauce BBQ avec sirop de bleuet est excellente. J’ai fait un petit ajout. Piments en flocons(1/4 c.t) et de l’ail noir de l’ile D’Orléans.(1 gousse écrasée)….et 3-4 gouttes de concentré de fumée….wow…👌
